We’re often asked how accurate Argyle is—and while we think we know what they’re asking, let’s dive into it to be sure.

When someone asks us how accurate Argyle is, we assume they’re asking:

• Compared to one or two control points, how closely will my model reappear in that place?

How Accurate? The Short Answer

Argyle’s quick answer in 2023: Models are accurate to the site within 1/8th inch.

Today Argyle is a visualizer—you’ll use other tools for measurement and to set your grid.

How Accurate? The Long Answer

The Long answer: It depends! How good are your controls? How careful are you? Which devices are you using to set your controls? Which devices do you use to view it? Are you indoors or outdoors? Is there much glass or reflection?

Our recommendation for the most accurate setup:

• Purchase Magic Leap 2 headsets - get at least two to properly experience AR
• For every 1000 sq feet, Have at least two control points set by another method - one you know to be most accurate for you.
• Accurately represent the points in the model - only you can edit your model to do this
  • If you don’t have access to edit your model, you can have points shot at corners and known coordinates.
• Set two points then save scale. Every device has a slightly different Do a test to confirm scale is correct
